Description

Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Summary

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.
  • Provide care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by Radiologists/Cardiologists.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.

Certifications / Licenses

  • ARRT certification applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, or VI) or RCIS Certification.
  • New Mexico State licensure required.
  • BLS certification (AHA).
  • ACLS certification (AHA).

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year radiologic experience required.
  • 1 year interventional or cath lab experience preferred.
  • IR Lab experience is a must.

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills.
  • Preferred knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and ionizing radiation.
  • Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
  • Subject to stressful professional relationships.
  • Flexible working hours due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies.
  • Physical ability to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients and equipment over 50 lbs.

Additional Requirements

  • Weekend work required.
  • On-call duty 10 out of 12 days per month, including weekends.
