Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (ST)

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Maintain sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and supplies for each surgical case efficiently.
• Communicate with the Perioperative team to provide care according to AORN standards during the intraoperative period.
• Collaborate with co-workers and manage supplies for the department.
• Provide additional supportive patient care as directed.

Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room experience.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Additional Information

• Travelers are responsible for their own housing. Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter. Consider nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs for more options.
• Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 ft elevation).
• No Return to Office (RTO) requests are accepted.
