Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Ambulatory Care) - Chicago, IL

Position Details

• Shift: Monday - Friday, 5x8 hour shifts (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

• Weekend Requirements: None
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Floating: Mandatory float within facility scope as needed

Role Description

• Work as an Ambulatory Care RN within the Oncology clinic (not as an Oncology RN).
• Serve as a Nurse Navigator/Care Management RN to assist with high volume of oncology patients and new referrals.

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years required in specialty
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licensing: Must have current RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Local Candidates: Only local candidates accepted (must live within 75 miles of the facility)

Time Off / Scheduling Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) allowed up to 5 days max, no more than 2 consecutive days
• No RTO on holidays, weekends, or the day before/after holidays

Facility & Work Environment

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Charting System: Cerner
• Parking: Limited parking available; public transit highly recommended
• Floating is mandatory to meet facility needs

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check within 12 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months, signed by PA, NP, DO, or MD
• Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 1 year, required annually
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or signed declination
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSPOT) within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with booster if needed
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)

Competency Exams (Required within 12 months of start)

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Color Blind Testing (for starts after 1/16/24)
• General Competency Exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (preferred for ER RNs)

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within the facility.
• Local candidates only; no remote or out-of-area candidates accepted.
