Occupational Therapist Travel/Contract Job - Saint Peters, Missouri

Position Details

• Floating: No floating within the facility; occasional float to sister facility (Progress West/St Peters) as needed

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 2 years in specialty

• Hip Fracture/Total Hip Replacement, Knee Injuries/Total Knee Replacement Experience: Required

Certifications & Licenses

Job Responsibilities

• Patient lifting and transfer
• Patient and family education
• Safety and injury prevention
• Telephone communication
• Billing and documentation including assessment, discharge, evaluation, plan of care, and reassessments

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Government-issued ID required (Driver’s License for Home Health positions)
• Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
• Education verification required (highest education related to profession)
• State-specific background checks as applicable
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with yearly questionnaire)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Facility-specific compliance education required annually
• Skills checklist and competency exams required, including medication/pharmacology competency and unit-specific exams
