Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)

Location: Richmond, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work Schedule: 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Must be available for on-call duties on weekends and holidays, with the ability to report within 30 minutes
• KY or compact nursing license required
• EPIC experience required

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with:

  • Administration/Monitoring of Procedural Sedation
  • Circulating Procedures
  • Diagnostic Right and Left Heart Catheterization
  • Interventional Catheterization
  • Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
  • Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Scrub experience preferred
• Proficient in computerized documentation

Certifications & Compliance

• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• State License primary source verification (NURSYS verification required for RNs)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification required (transcript or diploma acceptable if needed)
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Fit mask test (annual)
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tdap within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (2 vaccines or IgG titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or IgG titer)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required
• Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• Pass/fail EKG test required for certain units (MS, ICU, ED)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training as required by specialty
• Photo for badge (headshot with solid light background)

Prior Travel Experience
