Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Marshfield, Missouri

Job Description

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly, documenting in clinical records.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services based on patient evaluations.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements.
• Document all required information accurately in electronic systems and maintain patient records.
• Record treatment minutes in compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
• Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Adhere to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
• Maintain active ASHA certification and Missouri State Licensure.

Requirements

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience holding active CCS preferred (defaulted to higher requirement).
• Minimum SLP Experience: 1 year required.
• Setting Experience: Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
• Licensure: Active Missouri State License required (Compact allowed).
• Certification: CCC-SLP certification required.
• References: One reference accepted at time of submission.

Additional Information

• Work schedule: 8-hour shifts, Night Bonus (NBO) available.
• Overtime pay at 1.25x rate.
• Must comply with all regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
