Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract) - Home Health

Location: Marlton, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• License: New Jersey RN license required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Home Health experience (highest required)
• Skills:

  • Med Surg skills
  • OASIS and EPIC EMR experience
• Other:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Work Schedule

• Every 5th weekend
• Every other holiday

Patient Population & Procedures

• Patients primarily discharged from hospitals and nursing facilities
• Common diagnoses include wound care, wound vacs, Pleurx drains, ostomies, heart failure, diabetes, oncology, post-surgical, and orthopedic cases
• Productivity expectation: 6 visits per day (admissions count as 2 visits)

Certifications & Compliance

• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC only)
  • Other certifications as applicable (PALS, NRP) depending on unit
• Certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of contract start
• Competency exams and pass/fail testing as applicable
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with specific protocols for positive responders)
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31

Documentation & Verification

• Proof of I9, E-Verify, government-issued photo ID
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification required
• Employment application and work history verification (minimum 1 year prior to start date, allowing 30-day gaps)
• 2 professional references within last 2 years
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Facility-specific documents including personal/auto insurance and badge photo required for home health

Additional Notes

• No mileage reimbursement provided
• Candidates cannot start without completing all required documentation and certifications
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better) and latex questionnaire required

This position is ideal for experienced Home Health RNs with strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient population in a travel/contract role.
