Registered Nurse (ICU / MS Patient Flow) - Travel/Contract

Location: Abilene, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: ICU / MS patient flow
• Patient Ratios: Up to 1:5 at highest
• Weekend Scheduling: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Facility Type: LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital)
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Additional Skills: ICU and IMC (Intermediate Care) level care

Requirements & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
  • Social Security Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, Facis level 3
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Texas Employee Misconduct Registry Results required
• Certifications Verification:

  • ACLS, BLS (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved)
  • PALS, NRP, TNCC as required
  • State License Primary Source Verification
  • NURSYS verification for RNs
• Competency Exams: Medication Test/Pharmacology and other competency exams as applicable
• Healthstream Rapid Registration and ETA training prior to start
• Health Documents:

  • Initial physical exam, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months; 10-panel + Nicotine test within 10 days of start
• History Documentation:

  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Performance evaluations if worked over 1 year
  • Employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Internal evaluation if worked over 2 years

• Local same pay for first-time travelers
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
