Description

Nursing Contract Opportunity - Hilo, Hawaii

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with delivery, and immediate care of newborns.
Post-delivery care for mothers.
Use of computerized systems including Meditech and fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity).

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
Must have an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.
Certifications required: BLS & NRP.
Recommended certifications: STABLE & Advanced Fetal Monitoring.

Schedule

Variable shifts including day and night.
12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation.
Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month.
No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Unit Information

Labor & Delivery: 8 labor beds.
Postpartum: 18 beds.

Additional Requirements

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
