Job Description

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.

Responsibilities

• Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Perform triage and Non-Stress Tests (NSTs)
• Serve as second nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients
• Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care
• Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery

Unit Environment

• Fast-paced obstetrics unit caring for women and newborn infants after childbirth
• Critical role in guiding patients through childbirth and postpartum journey
• Team-oriented with strong interdisciplinary collaboration
• Critical Access Hospital setting

Requirements

• Must be labor-trained
• Certifications required:

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • STABLE certification
  • Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate level or above)

Experience
