Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: IMC Registered Nurse
- Shift: 3x12 hour day/night rotating shifts (0700-1930 & 1900-0730)
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Float: ICU and Med Surg as needed
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse with MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (highest requirement)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
- Minimum overall score of 80%
- 100% score on lethal rhythms section
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Competencies & Exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Relias Dysrhythmia: Basics A) required within 1 year of start and updated annually
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% score) within 3 years of start
- Color Blind Testing (online or in-person) required
- Competency Exam (minimum 80% score) within 3 years of start
Background & Health Requirements
- Criminal Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and monthly thereafter
- Education verification of highest degree required by position
- Drug Screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and documentation required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer documentation
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer documentation
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (09/23 - 03/31)
Licenses & Documentation
- Valid state nursing license required prior to start
- I9 and E-Verify attestation required upon hire
- Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
- Photo for badge with specific requirements (clear, centered, no glare, solid background)
- Completion of facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start
Additional Information
- Float to ICU and Med Surg units as needed
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Candidates must be prepared to complete all required certifications, exams, and background checks before start date
This position offers an opportunity for registered nurses with MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience to work a 13-week travel contract in Maryland with rotating 12-hour shifts and a supportive team environment.
