Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- May require on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and floating within the facility or system.
- Local rate available within 90 miles.
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for L&D.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course): Acceptable in lieu of PALS for ER.
- NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ER, Critical Care, Med Surg, IR, IMC, PCU. Valid for two years; may be obtained within 30 days of hire onsite.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Must pass with 80% or higher; two attempts allowed.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for specific units including Cath Lab, ER, ICU, Med Surg, Neuro ICU, PACU, PCU, Tele; two attempts allowed.
- Pass/Fail Testing: Required for all RNs and Cath Lab Techs; includes Medication and Dysrhythmia/EKG exams.
Licensure & Documentation
- Valid State RN License verification required.
- Copy of valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
- I9 or Attestation required.
- E-Verify or Attestation required.
- Background checks within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year county criminal background search for all locations lived/worked.
- Sex offender search.
- State police investigation for behavioral health roles.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background).
- Signed Job Description prior to start.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation; updated annually.
- Tdap vaccination required for all travelers.
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required. Chest X-ray required for positive responders.
- Annual TB questionnaire for positive responders.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series and positive titer OR signed facility-specific declination form required.
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no rapid screens).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
References
- Two professional references within the last 3 years required.
