Job Opportunity: IR Tech - Radiology / Cardiology

Location: Aurora, Colorado

Position Details

• Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician (IR Tech)
• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (typically 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, occasionally starting at 7:00 AM)
• Days: Monday - Friday
• On-Call Requirements:

  • Weeknight call once per week (6:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Weekend call every 4-6 weeks (Friday 6:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Work: Required
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Floating: No floating between units required
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Scrubs: Provided

Job Environment & Responsibilities

• Fast-paced, high-turnover, 8-room procedural IR unit
• Level I trauma hospital
• Patient population includes outpatient and critically ill inpatients, including emergent trauma and stroke patients
• Procedures include embolizations (neuro and body), drain placement/exchanges, central line placements, Y90 planning and implant, and more
• Staffing per procedure: 1 RN and 1-2 Radiology Techs in the room

Certifications Required

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Maximum of 10 Return to Office (RTO) days approved
• RTO not allowed during specific blackout periods in 2026
• Must meet comprehensive background checks and verifications including:

  • 7-year background check
  • Education verification
  • State license verification
• Health and compliance documents required, including but not limited to:

  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Fit mask test within 12 months
  • Immunizations and titers (TDAP, TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start
  • COVID vaccination or signed declination
• Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, OSHA, core competencies)
• Color blind testing (Ishihara exam) required prior to start
• References and employment history verification required (last 3 years)

Prior Travel Experience
