Job Opportunity: Clinical Nurse (Contract)
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Specialty: Nursing

Position Summary
The Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. The role requires the ability to work independently to complete assignments. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families. Work is guided by physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures, and hospital policies.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility (higher value taken from available data).
- Prior travel experience is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, territory, or Commonwealth.
- Must maintain current certifications throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within six months of hire
Housing
- Limited housing options available.
- Shared housing units at $600 per month, based on availability.
- No family or pets allowed in housing.
Additional Information
- Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
- COVID & Flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.

- The facility serves a large, culturally diverse area including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes.
- Provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services and various specialty services including dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and surgery.
- The community is located in a semi-desert landscape on the Colorado Plateau with elevations ranging from 4,400 to nearly 7,000 feet.
- The healthcare team includes a wide range of medical and dental specialists and nursing staff.
