Description

Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Contract)

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Description

Work with acute care patients, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and rehabilitation hospital settings.
Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies independently in radiology without supervision by a radiologist.
Possibility of outpatient care referrals.
Use Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient care and paper documentation for outpatient care.
Training provided for EMR documentation and orientation to rehab area expectations.

Requirements

Licensure: Must have an active Hawaii rehabilitation license by the start of the assignment.
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably with SNF level or rehab hospital experience.
Must be able to independently complete MBS studies.
Acute care experience required.

Schedule & Work Conditions

Generally a set schedule, 5 days per week, likely including 1 weekend day.
Possible floating to other units or facilities depending on census and staffing.
Dress code: Scrubs or per facility dress code policy.

Additional Information

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday.
Prior travel experience is required for this position.
