Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp (Days)

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical physical therapy care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Work primarily in outpatient clinic (4 days/week) and 1 day/week in acute care.
• Opportunity to work 1-2 acute care weekends during the contract (Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM) is available but not mandatory.
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Use of EPIC electronic medical record system required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience (24 months required).
  • At least 1 year of previous PT experience required.
  • Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred.
• Travel Experience:

  • At least 1 prior travel contract completed preferred (not required).
• Certifications & Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Other:

  • Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline required.
  • Professional references from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within last 24 months preferred.

Work Schedule & Additional Info

• 36-40 hours/week billable OT after 40 hours.
• Orientation held weekly on Mondays.
• On-call availability on weekends as noted is optional but appreciated.

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist with solid outpatient experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and at least 2 years of PT experience looking for a temporary assignment in Iowa.
