Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Brownwood, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
- Shift: 2/2 or 2/16 start preferred
- Candidates located at least 50 miles from the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Experience Requirements

Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7 Year Background Check required within 1 year of start; must be updated annually
- Government Issued Photo ID required
- I9 or Attestation required
- E-Verify or Attestation required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Education Verification (highest level) or transcript/diploma
- State-specific checks (Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Check) within 30 days of start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Fit Mask Test (annual; 3M 1860 Regular or 1860S mask)
- TDAP Vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (annual updates not required if criteria met)
- TB Questionnaire (annual)
- Rubeola (Measles) – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Mumps – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Rubella – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B – Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved exemption for 2025-26 season
Additional Requirements
- 2 References required within 3 years of start
- Copy of Resume/Application required
- Skills Checklist (annual update required)
- Completion of facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality, compliance agreements)
- Completion of orientation modules (~3-4 hours)
Notes
- Pass/Fail testing for Telemetry nurses includes 2 attempts (3 with manager approval)
- Onsite fit mask testing option available for $15 cash
- Facility parking available for orientation and employment with no fee
