Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Brownwood, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry)
- Shift: 2/2 or 2/16 start preferred
- Candidates located at least 50 miles from the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Experience Requirements

- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual)

Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam (within 1 year, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- Fit Mask Test (annual; 3M 1860 Regular or 1860S)
- TDAP Vaccine (within 10 years)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required)
- Rubeola (Measles) – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Mumps – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Rubella – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B – Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Drug Testing – Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start (no exceptions)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved exemption (for 2025-26 season)
Additional Requirements
- 2 References within 3 years
- Copy of Resume/Application
- Skills Checklist (annual update)
- Facility-specific documents and acknowledgments to be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality, compliance, etc.)
- Orientation modules (~3-4 hours) with parking available at no cost
Notes
- Pass/Fail testing for Telemetry nurses includes 2 attempts (3 with manager approval). No study materials provided; basic Telemetry RN knowledge expected.
- Background checks and health documents must be current and compliant with facility and state requirements.
- Candidates should be prepared for timely completion of all health screenings and documentation within specified timeframes.
