Travel RN Opportunity - San Marcos, Texas

Position Details

Job Summary

• Practice independently in the same or similar clinical setting.
• Provide routine and complex nursing care.
• Manage long-range goals and contingencies in clinical nursing.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
• Meet applicable competency standards including leadership roles.
• Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing specialty required.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License in Texas or compact license.
  • BLS certification (AHA only).
