Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details

Uniform/Dress Code
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN): Solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (scrub tops may have colored piping)
- Print tops not allowed except in Children’s Hospital and Women’s Services units (which have unit-specific attire)
- Unlicensed personnel: Solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Step Down/Telemetry or similar acute care experience)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (if applicable)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - if applicable
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
Note: Certifications must be current and verified per facility requirements.
Licensure
- Valid Registered Nurse license for Texas
- NURSYS verification required
- State-specific license requirements apply
Compliance & Training Requirements
- Completion of Providence WorkRamp modules (Core, Specialty, Regional, and Regulatory) as assigned
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required and updated annually
- Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Badge photo required for facility ID
- No on-call required
- Every other weekend work required
- 48-hour shifts approved
