Travel RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Position Details
- Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (1900-0730)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Shifts: Approximately 6 weekend shifts (Friday/Saturday nights) per assignment block; no set weekends
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Yes (to NICU, inpatient pediatrics, Pediatric resource RN role)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience & Certifications
- Required Years of Experience: 4+ years in Pediatric ICU (higher value between 2 and 4 years applied)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Required Certifications:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Unit Information
- Number of Beds: 8 beds (+2 swing beds on pediatric inpatient unit)
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2

- CADD Pumps
- Medfusion Pumps
- Philips Monitors
- Drager Ventilators
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with EPIC EMR

- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)

- Critical care patients with mixed diagnoses
