Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Operating Room RN)
Location: Springfield, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks from offer for compliance requirements)
- Shift: Weekend Days, 3 shifts of 12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
- Ratios: 1:1 patient care ratio
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, up to four 8-hour shifts per 4-week cycle
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Orientation: Held bi-weekly on Mondays
Specialty & Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Operating Room RN with Level 2 Trauma Unit experience
- Years of Experience Required:
- Trauma experience required
- Ortho: 2 years Level 1-2 experience including total joints
- Neuro: 2 years Level 2 experience including craniotomies
- Other specialties: General/Trauma, Vascular, Endovascular/Hybrid, GYN/Uro, ENT/Plastics, Eyes, Robotics
- Epic Experience: Minimum 1 year required
- First-Timers: Not accepted (must have prior experience)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

- Mandatory: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Strongly Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Requirements & Notes
- Locals: Not accepted
- Pending License: Accepted
- RTO Restrictions: None identified; submissions considered case-by-case
- Background Checks: Required within 60 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, criminal, federal, etc.)
- Drug Testing: Required within 30 days of start
- Health Documents: Physical exam, fit mask test, immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B), TB screening, flu vaccine or declination, COVID exemptions if applicable
- Orientation: Must complete PeaceHealth orientation modules and pass quizzes with 100% score prior to start
- Compliance: Must sign SSA release and other facility-specific documents
- Dress Code & Policies: Must adhere to facility dress code, masking, and personnel illness policies
Summary
This is a travel Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room at a Level II Trauma Center in Oregon. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in ortho or neuro trauma, with well-rounded experience across multiple surgical specialties.
