Job Details

• Specialty: Xray Tech
• Shift: 7:15 AM - 9:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Includes rotation of call evenings and weekends
• Rotation of shifts to cover vacations of other staff as necessary

Certifications Required

• ARRT R (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• State License (must be in hand before start)

Additional certifications may be required depending on unit description:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Experience Requirements

• Eligibility to work in the U.S. as per Immigration and Control Act
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start and monthly thereafter
• Foreign equivalency education evaluation if applicable
• Transcript/Diploma verification if no education verification on file
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start

Health and Safety Requirements

Candidates must complete health-related requirements and lab work within 5 days of signing the contract:

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (updated annually)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire annually (acceptable in lieu of annual TB test)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (not required annually)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season
• Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
• COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required

Competency and Documentation

State-Specific Requirements (New York)

• NYS Nurse Aide Registry (if applicable) within 3 months of start
• Fingerprint results and disciplinary action search for certain units (Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Home Health Aide, LTC)
• Sex Offender Registry search within 30 days of start
• NY Medicaid Exclusion List check within 3 months of start and monthly thereafter
