Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Primarily assigned to adult Behavioral Health (BH) units
• Must be able to float to Latrobe as needed
• Must have nursing license in hand

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

Competencies

Licensure & Background Checks

• Must have current state nursing license (primary source online verification)
• Background checks within 30 days of start including:

  • SS Trace and County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide and Sex Offender searches
  • PA Statewide Patch Certificate
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM
  • HHS/OIG
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required (process and follow-up instructions provided)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or accepted declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of multiple facility-specific documents and trainings prior to start, including but not limited to:

  • Orientation checklist
  • Pandemic attestation
  • Code of conduct
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Disclosure statement
  • Assessment of patient policy (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Interdisciplinary plans of care (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Skin integrity training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Mobility training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Catheter training (must pass quiz with 100%)
  • Cardiac procedure education (for Telemetry units)
  • Competency assessment (for Telemetry units)

Additional Notes

• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Must be prepared to provide government-issued photo ID and emergency contact form prior to start
