Job Opportunity: IR (Interventional Radiology) - Vascular Lab RN
Location: Albany, Georgia
Contract Length: 17 weeks (approximately 4 months)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No call, no weekends
- 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology / Vascular Lab
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years IR/Vascular Lab experience AND
- Either 1 prior travel contract OR 4 years without travel experience
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required for RNs
- Prefer candidates with cardiac, ICU, or ER experience due to patient acuity
- Must be comfortable managing cardiac arrests and critically ill patients
Work Environment & Details
- Unit: Vascular Lab (North Campus)
- Procedure rooms: 3 suites/labs
- Average cases per day: 8-12 (90% outpatient)
- EMR system: Meditech
- Team lead: Charge Nurse
- Surgical techs available for support
- Holidays: Usually closed
- Scrub color: Green or white (provided)
- Telemetry: Bedside Phillips portable monitors
- Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available in-house during regular hours
- Orientation: Up to 3 weeks floor-specific orientation
Job Responsibilities
- Nurse duties include patient prep, intraprocedure monitoring, sedation, and post-procedure recovery
- Techs assist with supplies, room prep, and charge entry
- Common procedures: Lifeport, PICC lines, sonograms, fistulograms, catheterizations, declots, grafts, fistulas, balloons, stents, vein mapping
Additional Notes
- Strict 75-mile radius travel rule applies
- Must be comfortable with pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care in a high-acuity setting
Prior travel experience required: Yes (at least 1 prior travel contract or 4 years experience without travel)
