Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Warren, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Full-time, night shifts
• Must be comfortable floating between Med Surg and ER units
• Requires Minnesota nursing license
• At least 2 years of nursing experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (PALS preferred and must be kept up to date during contract)
• Must have current ACLS and BLS certifications from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Licensure & Certifications

• Minnesota RN license required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred and must be maintained during contract
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• CEUs as per Minnesota state requirements

Compliance & Background Checks

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within 1 year of start, including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed unless a “more time needed” letter is approved)
• Candidates must complete the MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration
• Candidates may need to travel to a livescan location if not available locally

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year required
• Annual TB questionnaire per state requirements
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Facility requires a secondary on-site drug screen and completion of HR documents prior to start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required

Additional Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RNs
• Annual skills checklist required
• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, and per diem acute care roles (within 3 years of start)
• Alzheimer/Dementia/Elder Abuse CEUs required annually for CNAs (if applicable)
