Job Opportunity: Rehabilitation Therapy (Physical Therapist)

Location: Kapaa, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Work settings include:

  • Inpatient (25%) – acute care, ICU, SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility)
  • Outpatient (75%) – hospital-based outpatient PT clinic
• Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a full PT schedule with a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases every 30-45 minutes (new evaluations take about 1 hour).
  • Treating patients in ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF), occasionally OB, and extensively in outpatient clinic.
  • Mobility progression from acute to SNF inpatient care with knowledge of discharge planning.
• Requires independence and thorough care approaches for all outpatient diagnoses in a rural Kauai setting.
• Must obtain Hawaii PT license as soon as possible.

• Holiday pay is based on hours worked on the day of:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day
