Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Position in the Pre-Screen Unit; candidates undergo clinical review and manager interview.
• Must function independently in multiple specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart), and Trauma.
• Proficiency required with Davinci xi robot; familiarity with DV5 Davinci robot is a plus.
• Level I Trauma experience preferred; must have at least Level II trauma experience (>1 year).
• May care for COVID patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• Level I Trauma experience required (preferred Level I, must have at least Level II trauma experience).
• Prior travel experience required.

Work Schedule

• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days.
• Weekends: 3-4 weekend shifts within a 6-week matrix (day, evening, or night shifts).
• Holidays: Scheduled per department needs (day, evening, or night shifts).
• Call Requirements: 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with 30-minute callback response.
• Floating: Not applicable.

Unit & Skills

• Prefer RNs who can scrub and circulate.
• Must be proficient with robotic surgery specialties (general, gyn, thoracic, urology).
• Other robotic experience (ortho/neuro) not relevant.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• ACLS, BLS required (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Other certifications may be required based on unit/job description (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC).
• State license verification and NURSYS verification required.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, fingerprinting (PA FBI), Child Abuse Search, and PATCH Search required.
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement).
• Health documents required within 90 days of start: Physical exam, immunizations (TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B), negative TB test (QGold or TSpot), flu vaccine or exemption, COVID-19 vaccine or exemption.
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually.
• Professional references (2) within 3 years required.
• Skills checklist required annually.

Additional Notes

• Photo for badge required (passport-style, professional).
• Must review and sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, and others.
• Learning Management System (LMS) modules and new hire orientation required.
• Candidate must be able to start with some background checks pending (fingerprint, Child Abuse Search) but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment.

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with trauma and robotic surgery proficiency seeking a 13-week contract in Pennsylvania.
