Position Details

    • 4x12 hour shifts (days)
    • 3x12 hour shifts (nights, 1800-0630)

  • Weekend Requirement: None
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: May float to Pediatrics as needed
  • Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
  • Licensing: Must have active Illinois nursing license or be in application process with ETA to apply
  • Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Antepartum Care & Procedures

  • Reflex checks, edema assessment, clonus
  • Sterile vaginal exams
  • Triage of obstetrical patients
  • Use of External Fetal Monitoring (EFM)

Fetal Monitoring

  • Use of External and Internal Fetal Monitoring
  • Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

IV Therapy / Phlebotomy

  • Administration of blood and blood products
  • Start and maintain peripheral IVs
  • Use of infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring

Medication Administration

Labor and Delivery Management

Summary

This is a travel contract position for a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.
