Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Kingsport, Tennessee
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule & Environment
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
- 2 call nights per week
- One weekend every 3-4 weeks
- Block scheduling accommodations available
- Work primarily in Cath Labs and EP Labs (2 Cath Labs, 1 Structural/PV Lab, 2 EP Labs)
- Must be able to circulate EP cases including devices and EPS/Ablations (Claris, CARTO, EnsiteX, Cryo, PFA)
- Experience with Siemens Sensis/Epic and Philips Systems preferred
- Circulating and monitoring experience in Electrophysiology (EP) preferred
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years typical for EP circulating roles (no conflicting data)

Orientation & Scheduling Notes
- General orientation begins on Sundays (online CBLs)
- 16 hours of non-billable orientation required
- Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes
- Additional shifts may be available as overtime and flexed based on hospital needs
Residency Requirement
- Traveler’s permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
Certifications & Licenses Required
- ACLS (AHA Instructor or Provider; RQI accepted)
- BLS (AHA Instructor or Provider; RQI accepted)
- State RN license with primary source verification
- NURSYS verification required
- Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) – check unit specifics
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required
- Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry check if licensed/certified in TN or working in TN
- Photo for badge required within 48 hours of contract signing
- Completion of facility-specific forms and compliance documents required within specified timeframes
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
- Fit mask testing completed onsite (previous fit tests from non-facility sources not accepted)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility policy
- MMR titers (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) or documented vaccination/boosters
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella titer or documented vaccination/boosters
- Standard 9-panel drug screen within 14 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Sept 29 – Mar 31)
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care

- Minimum 2 references preferred (3 preferred)
