Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Rockville, Maryland

Shift:

• Preferred schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
• Open to 5 days per week if needed
  Daily Caseload: 6-7 patients per day
  Patient Population: Pediatrics
  Years of Experience Required: 2 years
  First-time Travelers: Accepted
  Locals: Accepted
  Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Maximum 6 days off; if a full week off is taken, an extra week must be added at the end of the contract
  Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
  Documentation System: Cerner
  Productivity Expectations: Expected to bill 25 hours per week (scheduled for 29 hours per week)
  Special Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only, must be current and not expire within 30 days of start
• Other certifications may be required based on unit/specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy)
• State professional license (copy required before start) with primary source verification
• National tech certification verification for allied professionals (non-RN, LPN)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• Pass/Fail Testing (if applicable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification required (transcript/diploma accepted if pending)
• Employment application and skills checklist required
• Two professional references dated within past two years (cannot pend for start)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 30 days of start (must include latex allergy information)
• Fit test for N95 mask within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD and DTap not accepted)
• Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 60 days of start or chest x-ray if previously positive
• TB questionnaire required for all candidates
• Immunizations or positive quantitative titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series and quantitative titer)
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (must include marijuana)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine or declination required for tracking

Competency Requirements

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Color blindness testing (can be completed online or as part of physical exam)
• Competency exam

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted; prior travel experience is not required
• Documentation and compliance modules must be completed prior to start
• Photo for badge must be submitted immediately after signing contract (specific photo guidelines apply)
• Return to office restrictions require careful scheduling of time off
