Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Midland, Texas
Job Details
- Location: Midland, Texas

- NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for RN licenses
- Background Checks:
- 10-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Texas DPS Criminal History Search and Employee Misconduct Registry within 30 days of start
- Education Verification: Highest level required, especially for cath lab and CVOR roles
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
- Fit Mask (N95 Fit Test): Required within 1 year of start; PAPR not accepted
- Immunizations & Titers:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or series (3 doses) required
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history of chickenpox required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen during orientation
- Flu Vaccination: Required October 1 - March 31 or agency declination with possible mask requirement
Competency & Documentation
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and age-specific competency exams required within 1 year of start
- Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually
- References: Two references required within 3 years of start
- Employment Application: Resume/application copy required
- Facility-Specific Documents: Confidentiality and security agreements, drug screening consent, TB questionnaire, compliance checklist, and other facility-required forms must be reviewed and signed prior to start
