Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses, including Emergency Department.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Work schedule includes night shifts in a Stepdown unit.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Stepdown experience.
• Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care / PCU / Stepdown experience (24 months required as per work history).
  • At least 1 year of previous Stepdown experience explicitly required.
• Prior Travel Experience:

  • Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract.
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active Iowa nursing license at time of submission.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC).
  • Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Other:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Skills checklist specific to Progressive Care / PCU / Stepdown discipline.
  • Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Information

• Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly (dates available upon request).
• Must be willing to float to Emergency Department as needed.

This position is ideal for experienced Stepdown nurses with prior travel contract experience looking for a temporary assignment in Iowa.
