Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Midland, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: OR Registered Nurse
- Start Date: Within 3-5 weeks
- Experience Needed:
- General, Orthopedic, Neurology, Trauma, and ENT experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Call Required
- Schedule: Variable shifts (to be discussed during interview)
- Options include 3x12-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts with rotating days off and call
- No block schedule approval; schedule varies weekly with no guaranteed set days
- Flexibility is essential
Required Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

- State RN License (Texas) - verification required within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification for RN within 30 days of start
- NIH Stroke Certification (required for all clinical positions)
- Additional Certifications (as applicable):
- CHEMO, ENPC, Tech Cert Verification (for Allied/Non-RN roles)
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update required)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 10-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (all locations lived/worked)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Check within 30 days prior to start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Check within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification and transcript/diploma required for Cath Lab, CVOR, L&D roles
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Drug Screening and Blood Testing Consent, TB Questionnaire, and Compliance Checklist must be reviewed/signed prior to start
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
- N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start (PAPR not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start (or as required)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Agency Declination (required October 1 - March 31)
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start (additional onsite drug screen upon arrival)
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- General Competency Exam (required within 1 year of start)
- Age Specific Competency Exam (required within 1 year of start)
References & Documentation
- Two professional references within 3 years of start required
- Copy of Resume/Application required
