Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Haven, Connecticut

Job Details

  • Schedule:
    • Two 12-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 8:00 PM)
    • Two 8-hour shifts (either 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM)
  • Coverage: Bi-campus coverage between two hospital campuses
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Weekend Requirement: No
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals Accepted: No
  • Pending License Accepted: Yes, but must be active prior to start date
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: RTO > 7 days requires approval
  • Scrub Color: Misty Green (OR scrubs) provided
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Parking Cost: $125

Experience & Certification Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • First-timers Accepted: No
  • Certifications Required:
    • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Licensure

  • Must have an active license prior to start date
  • Pending license accepted if active before start

Background Checks & Compliance

  • 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months prior to start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
  • Education verification required, including foreign equivalency for internationally educated candidates
  • Employment application must include 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
  • Work history verification required for last 7 years (attestations not accepted)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (clean shaven required)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
  • Tdap vaccination highly preferred for certain specialties (not required)
  • Drug screening (10 panel) within 12 months of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccination preferred but not mandatory

Additional Training & Competencies

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months prior to start (minimum 85% score)
  • Color blind testing required for all candidates (minimum 80% score)

  • Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required due to bi-campus coverage
