Job Description

• Day shift position primarily caring for adults with occasional pediatric patients (not a pediatric floor; pediatric-only RNs should not apply).
• Provide comprehensive care in a general Medical/Surgical unit including medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions.
• Focus on holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
• Accountable to the Unit Director and work closely with Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience (preference for candidates familiar with Meditech).
• Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
• ACLS certification required prior to start.
• Prior travel experience is not required.

Additional Information

• Travelers will start on Wednesdays.
• Orientation week may have adjusted hours due to midweek start.
• Facility is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, offering a scenic and outdoor-oriented lifestyle.
