Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm correct exam orders.
• Treat patients and procedures in accordance with confidentiality policies.
• Complete annual training and demonstrate age-specific care for the patient population served.
• Assist patients with appropriate attire and explain procedures, duration, expectations, and desired results.
• Show genuine concern to reduce patient anxiety.
• Select and utilize appropriate technical factors based on patient body habitus, pathology, and body part; ensure proper patient positioning.
• Verify image quality and successful transfer to PACS before radiologist review.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of imaging equipment.
• Maintain attentiveness to equipment and patient during procedures.
• Complete procedures efficiently based on complexity and patient condition.
• Maintain all required documentation and data per accrediting body standards (MQSA) and hospital policy.
• After orientation, perform all mammography exams (screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and Bone Density/DXA) independently per hospital protocols.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (AHA only)
• ARRT or NMTCB Certification
• SCRQSA Certification
• Valid State License/Certificate (Primary source verification required)
• Driver’s License/State ID
• Social Security Card
• Immunizations/Health Requirements:

  • MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab report (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 vaccinations or titer with lab report (no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab report (no declinations accepted)
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Recent testing required (within 1 year and 30 days of start)
• Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screening within 30 days of start (rapid screen not accepted)
• Criminal Background Check: Comprehensive check including county, statewide, national, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, NSOP, SS Trace, and education verification within 60 days of start, updated annually
• Employment Verification: 5 years
• Skills Checklist: Completed clinical skills checklist prior to start, updated annually
• Resume/Profile Submission Required
