Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position: Registered Nurse (ICU)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Will float to PCU (Progressive Care Unit) as needed
• Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Start dates available: February 9 or February 23
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Either ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Travel experience preferred (not explicitly required, but noted as preferred)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• I9 or Attestation
• E-Verify or Attestation
• Background Check (within 1 year of start, includes SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 30 days of start)
• NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)
• State License Verification (within 30 days of start)
• Tech Certification Verification (within 30 days of start)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
• Competency Exams (Medication Test/Pharmacology and general competency as applicable)
• Physical Exam (within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Drug Testing (Negative 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start, plan must be in place within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Immunizations and Health Requirements (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract unless otherwise noted):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (2-step PPD or equivalent within 1 year)
  • Rubeola (Measles) - 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Mumps - 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Rubella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B - Positive titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season, medical/religious exemptions possible)
  • COVID Vaccination documentation required

Facility Specific Requirements

• Flu Medical or Religious Exemption (if applicable)
• Parking Policy Acknowledgment
• Various facility-specific forms and orientation documents must be completed prior to start

References & History

• 2 professional references required within 3 years of start
• Copy of Resume/Application required
