Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)

Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Requirements

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM)
• On-call with 30-minute response time required
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• Floating as needed
• Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience (highest requirement)
• EPIC experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications may be required depending on unit/job description
• State RN license with primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification required

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background checks including 7-year criminal background, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting (PA FBI)
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Education verification (highest degree/diploma/transcripts)
• Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
• Most recent resume/application
• Annual skills checklist
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
• Photo for badge (passport-style, professional)
• Various facility-specific agreements and acknowledgments (Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, etc.)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season; medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

State-Specific Requirements (Pennsylvania)

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year; must be finalized prior to start (cannot start with results pending)

Additional Notes

• Candidate will undergo clinical screening to determine fit before manager interview
• Candidate must comply with all facility and agency credentialing and compliance requirements
• New hire orientation and online learning modules required, to be completed by specified deadlines
