Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) - Travel/Contract

Location: Hanover, Kansas
Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6 PM - 6 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for Med/Surg
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for clinical positions
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for Med/Surg
• National Certification/Verification prior to start and upon expiration (e.g., ASCP for Lab, AART for X-Ray)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License Verification (Primary source verification prior to start and upon expiration)
• NURSYS Verification prior to start
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Competency Exam (as applicable to profession/specialty)

Background & Health Requirements

• Background Check within the last year covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Physical Exam within the last 12 months
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start (Chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD history)
• TB Questionnaire if history of positive TB, updated annually
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug Screening within the last 12 months
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (2025-26 season)
• COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical/Religious Exemption (facility-specific forms required)

Additional Requirements

• 2 Professional References within 3 years of start
• Skills Checklist required
