Job Opportunity: OT Pediatrics (Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Outpatient)

Location: Jacksonville, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Pediatric Occupational Therapy (PEDS OT) - Outpatient
  • Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (08:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
  • Years of Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
  • First-time Travelers: Not accepted
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: Clinician may float within scope as needed
  • Block Schedule: Schedule requests can be discussed with manager
  • Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA (RQI acceptable)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required based on unit/specialty
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required based on unit/specialty
  • National Tech Certification Verification (Primary Source Verification)
  • NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP if applicable)

Required Documents & Checks

  • Valid/current US Driver’s License or US ID
  • Background Check within 30 days of start (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days prior to start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days prior to start
  • Education Verification (degree verification required; unofficial transcripts accepted if pending)
  • Competency Exam (required for all clinical/allied candidates)
  • Photo for badge (color photo, mid-shoulders up, plain background)
  • Signed Code of Conduct
  • Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must indicate good physical and mental health, free of communicable disease, and ability to perform job functions)
  • Fit Mask test (required for new contracts starting 09/02/25 and after)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start
  • TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
  • Immunizations or documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • 9-panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved Medical/Religious Exemption (required annually by 11/30)
  • References: 2 professional references required for clinical candidates
  • Skills Checklist for clinical/allied candidates

State-Specific Requirements (Illinois)

  • Illinois Department of Corrections Inmate Search (within 30 days of start)
  • Illinois Most Wanted Search (within 30 days of start)
  • Illinois Healthcare Registry Worker Fingerprint Results (for clinical candidates without IL state license; fingerprints must be taken in Illinois 3 business days prior to start)

Additional Notes

  • Candidate may be called off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay for those hours
