Job Opportunity: Emergency Department RN - Nights

Job Description

• Provide direct care in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED) setting.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and consult with other specialties as needed.
• Adjust nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate medical and nursing management.
• Work effectively under pressure in a busy rural ED with nine beds and over 15,000 patients annually.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system or ability to learn quickly is required.

Requirements

• Current Vermont or compact multi-state RN License.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
• Credentialing must be completed at least five business days before start date.
• No prior travel experience required.

Additional Information

• The hospital is a rural critical access facility with no public transportation nearby.
• Closest airport is approximately 2 hours away.
• Orientation week may have adjusted hours due to midweek start.
• Travelers will start on Wednesdays.
