Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PACU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) travel/contract position.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Instructor or Provider
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRT & EDAHA only
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT & EDAHA only
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Required for RRT; for Labor & Delivery, required within 6 months of hire
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – Required for ER RNs
EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Required within 18 months of hire for Labor & Delivery RNs
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) – Required for ER RNs within 18 months of employment (one-time)
NIH Stroke Certification – Required for ER RNs
State License Verification – Primary source verification required

Required Competencies

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
Competency Exam (required)

Background and Health Requirements

Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years (includes SSN trace, county, nationwide, national sex offender, education verification)
Education verification required; if completed out of county, documentation of US equivalency is required
Photo for badge required
Confidentiality, Crime Disclosure, and Potential Conflict of Interest forms must be reviewed and completed
Health documents required:
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (various acceptable options)
- Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declined

Additional Requirements

Two professional references completed within 1 year of start required
