Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Augusta, Georgia

Job Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Average Daily Census: 8 patients
- Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, PACS
- Call Requirements: 10 days per month
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Floating: Within the facility/scope of practice as needed
- Holidays: Required to work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Scrub Color: Provided by the facility
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year (1st time travelers accepted)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
- Additional Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, EFM, Tech Cert Verification, State License (Georgia for CRTs & RRTs), NURSYS Verification may be required depending on specialty and role.
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval.
- Locals accepted at the same rate.
Required Documents & Health Screenings
- Photo ID: Driver’s License or State ID
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification and criminal searches.
- Education Verification: Required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start).
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months of start.
- TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months; TB questionnaire required annually.
- Immunizations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer required.
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer required.
- Hepatitis B – Series, titer, or signed declination required.
- Flu Vaccine or Declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31).
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending. Instant drug screen acceptable under certain conditions.
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs and LVNs)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Competency Exam (for Nursing and Allied Health)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for applicable specialties)
Additional Notes
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is proportional to contract length (e.g., 18 hours for 18-week assignment).
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start.
- References: 2 clinical references required by the staffing agency (not required by client).
- Work history verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start).
This position is ideal for Interventional Radiology Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced adult to geriatric patient population and meeting comprehensive compliance and certification requirements.
