Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Seneca, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5x8)
- Weekend coverage: May be needed
- Patient Age Group: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Required Experience & Skills
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year experience with EPIC documentation system required
Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)
Skills Required:
- Abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright)
- Chest (AP, lateral decubitus, routine)
- Upper airway, facial bones, orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull
- Extremities: ankle, calcaneus, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes
- Trauma imaging (lower and upper extremity, shoulder)
- Portable abdomen and chest
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
- Radiation safety
- Spine imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum, coccyx)
- Joints and bones: AC joints, clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb/finger, wrist
Equipment Experience: GE, PACS, Siemens
Medication System: Omnicell
Documentation System: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)
Certifications & Licenses Required
- ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- South Carolina state license
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on unit assignment (check unit description)
- Tech Cert Verification (National) within 30 days of start
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA, OSHA/TJC training)
- State License Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS Verification showing all licenses (must authorize work in SC)
Compliance & Background Requirements
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start, including alias and county/state searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Fingerprinting may be required depending on prior residency and role
- Education verification required (highest level of education)
- Drug screening within 1 year of start, updated annually (5 panel minimum)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (if working in high-risk areas)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation or declination
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required by deadlines (not required for 100% remote)
Additional Information
- Scrubs color: Hunter Green
- Badge photo required with specific guidelines (passport style, plain background, no hats or sunglasses)
- Online Cornerstone Modules (approx. 12 hours) must be completed within 72 hours of assignment
- Pass/Fail Testing (Medication and EKG/Arrhythmia) required for applicable roles, with two attempts allowed
- Floating policy and contractor acknowledgment forms must be signed and updated annually
- Competency exams and medication tests required annually with minimum passing scores
- Color blindness testing required for nurses in ER and Pediatric ER
- Various unit-specific certifications and training may be required based on assignment area
This position offers a comprehensive clinical experience across multiple patient age groups and care settings, with a focus on radiology and cardiology imaging procedures. It is suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of EPIC documentation experience and ARRT certification, and welcomes first-time travel healthcare professionals.
