Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Special Care Nursery/Pediatrics/NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Employment Type: Contract (8 weeks)

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with the primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of patient care within scope of practice.
• Provide patient education according to individual needs.
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders.
• Coordinate healthcare team and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Credentials

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming in good standing.
• Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-section patients.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required if caring for pediatric patients.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for Family Care Unit.
• Labor and Delivery nurses must complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within the first year after orientation and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring class within three years of orientation completion.

Experience Requirements

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Specialty experience: NICU and special care nursery experience preferred.
• No explicit years of experience required, but hospital experience is preferred.

• This is a PRN part-time position.
• Contract length is 8 weeks.
