Job Overview

Seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer with expertise in both general and specialized vascular ultrasound studies. The position operates within an IAC-accredited Non-Invasive Vascular Lab, emphasizing high-quality ultrasound imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of vascular ultrasound studies independently, including:

  • Upper and lower extremity venous duplex studies
  • Upper and lower extremity arterial duplex studies
  • Carotid duplex studies
  • Bypass graft studies
  • Mesenteric artery duplex studies
  • Renal artery duplex studies
  • Upper and lower extremity vein mapping duplex studies
  • Fistula flow studies
  • Venous reflux studies
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule:

  • One weekday evening on-call every other week
  • One weekend on-call approximately every fifth week
• Provide occasional services at additional locations such as hospital sites, outpatient clinics, and outreach centers.

Required Qualifications

• Certification: ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Demonstrated proficiency and competency in all listed vascular ultrasound studies
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) preferred
• Familiarity with IAC-accredited vascular lab standards
• Must complete required competency assessments and skills checklists

Required Credentials and Compliance

• BLS Certification

• Bassett Core Competencies and Skills Checklists
• Personal health requirements including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, Annual TB Questionnaire, Physical/Health Statement
• Professional requirements including Driver's License/State ID, professional references, criminal background check, resume, education verification, employment verification, drug screen, and other facility-specific forms
