Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Schedule:

  • 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts with call rotation including holidays
  • Flexible shift options: 1 PM - 9 PM or 3 PM - 11 PM
  • Blocked Monday-Friday, no weekends required

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

• Required Certifications:

  • AMRIT
  • ARRT(MR) or ARRT(R) (either specialty certification accepted)

• Experience Requirements:

  • First-time travelers not accepted unless experienced at multiple facilities with level 1 or 2 trauma
  • Locals accepted

• Prior Travel Experience:

  • Prior travel experience is required (first-time travelers not accepted unless specific trauma experience)

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Includes SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – ARC or AHA acceptable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
  • Tech Certification Verification – as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification – required for certain RN positions (not specified for MRI Tech)

• Competencies:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam – as applicable
  • Color Blind Testing – required for dialysis/kidney center (not specified for MRI Tech)
  • Competency Exam – as applicable to specialty

• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year; chest X-ray within 60 days if applicable
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (marijuana positive not disqualifying)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)

• Other Requirements:

  • Photo for badge (passport-style, no filters)
  • Compliance checklist and confidentiality statement to be signed prior to start
  • Dosimeter request form required only for Imaging Department (not required for MRI Tech)
  • 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start

Summary

This is a travel contract MRI Tech position in Wisconsin requiring 13 weeks commitment with weekday shifts and call rotation. Candidates must have ARRT certification in MR or Radiology and prior travel experience or trauma facility experience. Multiple certifications and health requirements must be met prior to start. First-time travelers are generally not accepted unless they have trauma experience.
