Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Shift Hours:

  • 5x8 schedule, Monday to Friday, 3 PM – 11 PM
  • Possibility of 10-hour shifts if staffing allows

• Call Off Policy:

  • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Travel Experience:

  • First-time travelers not accepted
  • Local candidates not accepted (radius restrictions apply)

• Licensing:

  • Virginia state license required (any active state license accepted)
  • Emergency authorization available for travelers while permanent VA license processes

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Fluoro and OR experience required
• Experience with Siemens equipment strongly preferred

Patient Population

• Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Geriatrics
• May be required to float to other units based on staffing needs

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• I9 or attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID with address meeting radius criteria

• Background check (7 years, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu vaccination or mask/declination form during flu season
• 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually

• Candidates must review and acknowledge the facility’s orientation manual prior to start
• Photo for badge required (professional picture with plain background)
• May be required to complete facility-specific compliance and confidentiality agreements
• Must complete new hire paperwork prior to start
• Floating to other units may be required depending on staffing needs

This position is ideal for experienced X-Ray Technologists with fluoro and OR experience who have prior travel contract experience and hold an active Virginia state license or equivalent.
