Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • ARRT (R), RCIS, or CCI required
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • PALS (AHA only, if applicable)
  • NRP (if applicable)
  • Tech Cert Verification - National (within 30 days of start)
  • State License (permanent license in-hand required; no temporary licenses)
  • NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Radiology/Cardiology)
  • EP Lab experience is mandatory
  • Must be able to scrub cases involving interventional cardiac procedures, pacemakers, temporary pacemakers, and vascular procedures
  • 1st time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience not required)

• Work Schedule:

  • No call
  • 10-hour shifts or until procedures are completed
  • No weekend shifts (Saturdays or Sundays)

Required Competencies and Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (Relias online exam accepted)
• Competency Exams relevant to specialty
• EPIC Pass/Fail Testing (administered onsite; 2 attempts allowed)
• Annual Skills Checklist

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam (within 1 year of start)
• Fit Mask Test (within 12 months of start; specific mask models required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
• TB Questionnaire (required annually regardless of TB result)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (required if applicable)
• Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days of start)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)

Background and Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check (within 60 days of start) including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks (within 60 days of start)
• Education verification (highest level)
• Missouri State Mandated EDL Search (within 60 days of start)
• Photo for badge (passport-style)
• Completion of facility-specific e-learning within 3-5 days of receiving instructions
